SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Senior Dominique Mason (Chicago, Ill.) and sophomore Maggie Cvelbar (Euclid, Ohio) had double-doubles as the Seton Hall women's volleyball team swept Providence, 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-14), for head coach Allison Yaeger's 100^th career coaching victory.

Seton Hall improved to 2-2 in BIG EAST Conference play with the straight-set victory. Mason led the Pirates with 12 kills and 12 digs. Cvelbar had 13 assists and 11 digs.

SET 1:
Seton Hall had to rally in the first set, finding itself in a 12-5 hole to start the match. The Pirates methodically chipped away at the Providence lead, and a kill by Mason cut the deficit to 14-11 and prompted a Friars' timeout. Trailing 20-16, The Hall went on an 8-1 run, which featured six attack errors by Providence players, to enter set point, 24-21. A kill by Abby Thelen (Ft. Mitchell, Ky.) ended the set and gave The Hall a 25-22 victory.

SET 2:
The second set was the closest of the match, and featured eight ties. For the second straight set, the Pirates fell behind early, but battled back mid-way through the set. Trailing 13-10, The Hall went on an 8-3 run, and a block by Madison Salkowski (Cold Spring, Ky.) put it in front, 18-16, and prompted a Friars' timeout. With the score tied at 23, a kill by Mason put the Pirates in set point, and the ensuing kill by Caitlin Koska (Franklin, Wis.) gave them a 25-23 win.

SET 3:
The Pirates dominated the third set, and with the score tied at six, they went on a 14-3 run to take a commanding 20-9 advantage. Mason's 12^th kill of the night gave The Hall a 25-14 victory and completed the three-set sweep.

Inside the Numbers:

Thelen finished with 10 kills.
Koska had seven kills and four blocks, including three block solos.
Seton Hall recorded a .163 attack percentage for the match, while Providence attacked at .035.
Seton Hall finished with 34 team kills, while Providence had 29.
The Pirates totaled 49 team digs, while Providence had 45.

Yaeger is only the second Seton Hall volleyball head coach to reach the 100-win plateau.
Mason's double-double is her second straight and the third of her career.
Cvelbar's double-double is her third of the season and the fourth of her career.
Seton Hall improves to 3-6 in three-set matches this season.
Coffey played in her 78^th consecutive match, which leads all active Pirates.
The Pirates improve to 14-15 all-time against Providence.
