LAST WEEKEND
The Pirates split a pair of road BIG EAST contests last weekend. The Hall defeated Providence in four sets on Friday. Sophomore Haylee Gasser (Mission Viejo, Calif.) tallied a career-high 13 kills, while senior Dominique Mason (Chicago, Ill.) collected a double-double with 13 kills and 17 digs. Senior Sarah Kenneweg (Poolesville, Md.) had a match-high 22 digs. On Sunday, Seton Hall fell in three sets in Omaha to No. 16 Creighton. Junior Abby Thelen (Ft. Mitchell, Ky.) led the team with nine kills. Sophomore Maggie Cvelbar (Euclid, Ohio) had 15 assists and seven digs.

SCOUTING DE PAUL
Seton Hall and DePaul will meet for the 18th time in history on Saturday. The Pirates own a commanding 16-1 all-time lead in the series and are seeking a season sweep of the Blue Demons.Â
Â
Earlier this year in Chicago, Seton Hall swept DePaul. The Pirates received a match-high 17 kills to go with eight kills and a .306 attack percentage from Mason. Junior Caitlin Koska (Franklin, Wis.) had 12 kills and a .391 attack percentage. It was The Hall's first BIG EAST Conference victory of the season.
Â
DePaul enters the match with an 8-15 overall record and a 2-9 mark in BIG EAST play. They are coming off a pair of losses in three sets at home to Butler and Xavier last weekend. The Blue Demon's two conference victories came at home over St. John's on Sept. 22 and at Georgetown on Oct. 14.
Â
SCOUTING MARQUETTE
Seton Hall and Marquette will play for the 20th time on Saturday with the Golden Eagles having won 14 of the prior 19 meetings and five straight. The last Pirate victory in the series came in the semifinals of the 2014 BIG EAST Championship, a five-set win that sent The Hall to the championship game.
Â
On Sept. 22, the Golden Eagles swept the Pirates in Milwaukee, Wis. It was the first BIG EAST Conference game of the season for The Hall. Thelen led the Pirates with 11 kills, while junior Sophia Coffey (Sierra Madre, Calif.) tallied a double-double with 16 assists and 13 digs.
Â
Marquette enters the weekend with an impressive 15-7 overall record and a 9-2 mark in BIG EAST Conference. The Golden Eagles won their first seven BIG EAST matches, but have looked more mortal over the last two weekends, going 2-2 in that time. They dropped a five set match at Villanova on Oct. 14, and most recently, a five-set match at home to Butler on Saturday.
