LINCROFT, N.J. - Senior Amanda Quaglia (Reading, Pa.) clocked a 4K time of 15:19.23 at the Monmouth XC Kick-Off on Saturday to claim 11th-place and help lead the Seton Hall women's cross country team to a third-place finish in its 2015 season opener on Saturday.
Quaglia claimed the top spot on the Seton Hall scorer list after routinely ranking among the squad's top-three performers a season ago and finished less than two seconds outside the top-10 overall.

Junior Desyre Blackburn (Aloha, Ore.) (16:03.41) and Bailey Seach (Winston Salem, N.C.) (16:03.71) crossed the line consecutively in 39th and 40th place overall, registering times that were separated by a mere three-tenths of a second.
After being forced out of action for the latter part of her freshman campaign, sophomore Emily Johnson (Wildwood Crest, N.J.) returned to the lineup and the scoring group with a time of 16:18.00 - rounding out a Seton Hall top-five that accumulated a total of 96 points to finish ahead of LIU-Brooklyn, Wagner, and St. Francis (N.Y.).
Monmouth earned the team title with a cumulative score of 19 points.
Seton Hall will be back in action next Saturday, September 12 when they travel to Newark, Del. for the University of Delaware Invitational. Start-time is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. from White Clay Creek State Park.
