Quaglia, Britten Lead the Way at Delaware Invite

NEWARK, DEL. - For The second consecutive week, senior Amanda Quaglia (Reading, Pa.) and freshman Kiley Britten (Crystal Lake, Ill.) recorded a pair of top-20 finishes to lead the Seton Hall women's cross country team to a fourth-place finish at the Delaware Invitational.
Quaglia paced the squad for the second-straight week, completing the 6K course in 24:43.02 to earn 13th-place overall. On the heels of a 19th-place effort in her collegiate debut, Britten finished with a time of 24:52.06 to claim 17th in a field of nearly 130 competitors.
Junior Desyre Blackburn (Aloha, Ore.) also cracked the top-20 with a time of 25:11.53, making the Pirates one of three teams to post a trio of top-20 times on the afternoon.
Sophomore Emily Johnson (Wildwood Crest, N.J.) added a second consecutive scoring effort to start the season after being sidelined for much of her freshman campaign, crossing the line in 30th-place with a time of 25:46.73.
Rounding out a Seton Hall top-five that featured the same five runners from a week ago, Bailey Seach (Winston Salem, N.C.) logged a time of 26:57.43 to take 44th-place and cap the Pirates' team score at a cumulative total of 102.
TCNJ claimed the team title with a score of 26.
The Hall is back on the road next Saturday, September 19 when the teams will head to Princess Anne, Md. for the Cappy Anderson Invitational. Start time is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.
