Terry Dehere goes down as one of the greatest student-athletes to wear the Seton Hall uniform. He led the team in scoring all four years, including a 22.0 points per game average during his senior year. He helped lead the Pirates to three NCAA Tournament appearances, including a trip to the NCAA West Regional final in 1991, and two BIG EAST Tournament championships. As a senior in 1993, he was a consensus All-American, the BIG EAST Player of the Year, the BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Player and the recipient of the Haggerty Award as the Metropolitan area’s most outstanding player. He graduated as Seton Hall’s all-time scoring leader (2,494 points). Dehere was selected 13th overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the 1993 NBA Draft and spent six seasons in the NBA.
