Manfred Schellscheidt led Seton Hall men’s soccer for 23 seasons, guiding the Pirates to an incredible amount of success, including nine NCAA Tournament appearances, one trip to the NCAA quarterfinals, one trip to the NCAA third round, two BIG EAST Tournament championships, five tournament runner-ups and four regular season championships. Six of his teams finished the season nationally ranked, including the 1988 club that captured the BIG EAST Tournament championship and advanced to the NCAA quarterfinals to finish the year ranked No. 3. The 2005 BIG EAST Coach of the Year and two-time New Jersey Coach of the Year, Schellscheidt won 233 career matches with the Pirates.
