John Moon

John Moon built Seton Hall’s track & field program into one of the finest in the nation. In his tenure, he has coached 19 Olympians, including two gold medalists, five NCAA champions and 71 All-Americans. In 1995, he named the head coach of the U.S. Pan American Games team and led the team to 36 medals (13 gold, 12 silver, 11 bronze). In the BIG EAST, his teams have captured six league titles, including four men and two women. His teams have won six Penn Relays Championship of America titles and have garnered four ECAC and IC4A team championships. He is a three-time BIG EAST and District Two Coach of the Year and was named the National Women’s Indoor Coach of the Year in 1994.
