
Seton Hall Boasts Nearly 87% on BIG EAST All-Academic Team

NEW YORK - The BIG EAST Conference announced on Monday the 2024-25 BIG EAST All-Academic Team and 86.5% of all Seton Hall student-athletes were named to the team for posting a 3.0 grade-point average or higher during the academic season. In all, 236 Pirates earned the prestigious academic distinction.

Nominations for the All-Academic Team are submitted by each of the BIG EAST's 11 member schools and six affiliate institutions. To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in a BIG EAST-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of academic work, with a total of 18 semester or 27 quarter credits, not including remedial courses.

Seton Hall student-athletes continue to excel in the classroom with its overall cumulative grade point average now sitting at an all-time record 3.537 In addition:

- 173 student-athletes made Seton Hall's Dean's List in Spring 2025
- 48 student-athletes graduated with honors this past May
- 50 student-athletes earned the department's academic merit award for graduating with at least a 3.35 cumulative GPA
- 40 student-athletes were inducted into Chi Alpha Sigma (National College Athlete Honor Society), which requires student-athletes to maintain a minimum 3.4 cumulative GPA
- Two graduating student-athletes earned the highest GPAs within their respective colleges: Molly Mitman (College of Arts and Sciences) and Chiara Pucci (School of Diplomacy and International Relations)
