
Arumugam Leads the Way at BIG EASTs

OMAHA, NEB. – In the Pirates' first BIG EAST Championship under Head Coach Jacob Simon, the Pirates finished ninth with 226 points.
How it Happened
In the culmination of a breakout sophomore campaign, Aakash Arumugam crossed the line as the top Seton Hall finisher. While he ran with the leading pack for the opening half, the Californian fell back to finish in 37th place with a time of 24:56.81.
Behind Arumugam, senior Logan Brunozzi crossed the line as the second-fastest Pirate. In his final BIG EAST Championships, Brunozzi logged a time of 25:03.492 and extended his streak as a top three Pirate finisher to 14 meets.
The third Pirate finisher was Joseph Butler. The junior crossed the line in 53rd place overall, four on The Hall, with a time of 25:21.74.
Senior Stephen Beaman crossed the line fourth for the Pirates in 57th place with a time of 25:34.75. This result ended Beaman's 11-meet streak as a top three Pirate finisher.
Rounding out the scoring squad for the Pirates was junior Zac Donteh. The junior ended up in 74th place with a time of 26:21.54.
What's Next
The Pirates will travel to University Park, Pa., to compete at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship on November 14.
