Arumugam Continues Strong Season at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, PA. – Seton Hall Men's cross country competed against its largest field of the season on Friday at the Paul Short Run, placing 20th in a 39-team field with 580 total points.
How it Happened
In a continuance of his superb sophomore campaign, Aakash Arumugam, ran away from the rest of the team to secure another top-25 finish this season. With his 28th-place finish and a time of 25:05.50, the Californian secured his third consecutive meet atop the Pirates' timing table.
Coming in behind Arumugam, in 70th place with a time of 25:43.00, was senior Stephen Beaman. Despite the overall placement, Beaman registered his tenth consecutive meet as a top-three Pirate finisher.
After Beaman came another senior Pirate, Logan Brunozzi. Despite losing ground in the early stages amid the nearly 350-runner field, Brunozzi crossed as the third Pirate overall in 131st place with a time of 26:21.21.
The fourth finisher for the Pirates, earning his highest intra-team placement of the season, was Jeffery Grynaviski. The junior climbed through the waves of runners, climbing 92 places to finish in 191st with a time of 26:52.30.
Rounding out the top five for The Hall was Zach Doneth. Donteh was another mover and shaker over the course of the race, climbing 75 places to 198th place with a time of 26:56.00
What's Next
The Pirates will continue their season on Saturday, October 11, when they travel to Newark, N.J., to compete in the Metropolitan Championship.
