The Seton Hall men's basketball team returns to the road this weekend as the Pirates head to Omaha to take on Creighton on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Eastern.
Seton Hall's recent struggles have not been helped by a rash of injuries to its backcourt as the Pirates have been without starting guards Dylan Addae-Wusu and Chaunce Jenkins.
Addae-Wusu, who has missed the last three games with a foot injury, is the Pirates' second-leading scorer in BIG EAST play (13.6 ppg).
Addae-Wusu is two assists away from 400 career assists and went over 200 career steals at Providence.
Addae-Wusu trails only Creighton's Ryan Kalkbrenner for the most career BIG EAST games played among active players with 83.
Prior to missing the last three games, Addae-Wusu scored 24 points and dished out seven assists, both personal bests in his Seton Hall career, against DePaul.
The Pirates are 4-2 on the season when Chaunce Jenkins is their leading scorer.
Jenkins, who left with a hamstring injury in the second half against St. John's, scored 21 points and dished out four assists in the Pirates's loss at Butler.
The Pirates are 16-14 all-time against Creighton but they've lost the last four meetings.
Seton Hall's last win over Creighton was a 65-60 win at CHI Health Center Omaha on 3/5/22
Seton Hall is 2-0 in overtime games this season and Holloway's career record in overtime games is 9-3, including a 3-1 mark as head coach of the Pirates.
Holloway's one overtime loss at The Hall came last season against the Bluejays as the Pirates dropped a 97-94 triple overtime contest at Prudential Center on 1/20/24.
Isaiah Coleman has come into his own in conference play where he trails only Villanova's Eric Dixon in scoring averaging 20.6 points per game against BIG EAST foes.
Coleman is coming off of another career-best performance as he scored a personal-high 27 points and finished one rebound shy of his second career double-double
Coleman also ranks 10th in the conference averaging 6.3 rebounds per game and ninth shooting 84 percent from the line against BIG EAST foes.
Coleman is one of only four Pirates since 1988 to score at least 15 points in the first five BIG EAST games of the season joining Mark Bryant (1987-88), Terry Dehere (1992-93) and Myles Powell (2019-20).
Coleman has scored in double-figures in 11 of his last 12 games and five of those outputs were 20-point performances against BIG EAST teams.
After struggling from the free throw line through the first month of the season, Seton Hall has bounced back since the start of conference play shooting 74 percent (133-of-181) from the stripe, good enough for fifth in the BIG EAST.
Seton Hall ranks third in the BIG EAST in bench scoring averaging 22.5 points per game.
According to KenPom, the Pirates rank 25th in Div. I in bench minutes (40.1 pct.)
