
Fahy Leads Pirates at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. – Seton Hall women's cross country traveled to University Park, Pennsylvania, to compete in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals today, where the team placed 26th out of 30 teams with 771 points.
In one of her best races of the season, sophomore Caitlin Fahy crossed the finish line as the fastest Pirates finisher with a time of 22:24.8. This was her first time as the Pirates' top finisher during the second half of the season.
After less than 20 seconds, Julia Smith crossed the line to become the second Seton Hall finisher with a time of 22:41.9. With this result, Smith finished as one of the two fastest Pirates in the last four races of the season.
As the clocked ticked over the 23-minute mark, sophomore Paige Quigley became the next finisher from South Orange with a time of 23:02.3. Not long after, junior Honey Strosnider crossed the line in a time of 23:20.6.
The final points scoring place went to freshman Laura Castagna, who finished the six-kilometer course with a time of 23:44.2. This result was Castagna's best finish of the season.
