
Butler Closes Season Strong at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. – Joseph Butler led Seton Hall men's cross country at the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional Championship Friday in University Park, Pennsylvania, where they placed 21st out of 27 teams with 634 points.
Sophomore Joseph Butler closed the season on a strong note by being the first Pirate to completing the 10-kilometer course with a time of 32:06.2. This was Butler's second race being the top Pirate finisher in the last four, as well as his third as one of the top two Pirates in that span. races as the top finisher.
Junior Stephen Beaman crossed the line for the Pirates a mere four seconds later with a time of 32:10.3.  This was Beaman's fourth straight as one of the top-two finishers for the Pirates, with the sole top finisher performance occurring at the BIG EAST Championship.
After the two forebears, junior Logan Brunozzi crossed the finish line with a time of 32:40.6, earning his fourth top three Pirate finish in as many races.
Seven seconds after Brunozzi, freshman Aakash Arumguam stopped the clock with a time of 32:47.8. In his first season with the Pirates, Arumguam grew into a reliable points finisher for the Pirates.
Lastly, rounding out the top five Pirates was senior Anthony Cary who closed his season with a time of 34:09.4.
