Seton Hall will return to action this weekend for a pair of BIG EAST Conference road contests. On Friday, Nov. 15, The Hall will travel to Omaha, Neb. for a match against BIG EAST champion Creighton at 7:00 p.m. ET. On Sunday, the Pirates will head to Milwaukee to face Marquette at 2:00 p.m. ET.

HALL NOTES
Both Hadlee Ackerman (Atlanta, Ga.) and Mason Woo (Burbank, Calif.) reached double-figures in digs, but despite a strong defensive showing, the Pirates team fell to No. 6 Creighton, 3-0 (14-25, 13-25, 11-25), in Walsh Gymnasium on Oct. 26.

In each of the first two sets, the Pirates played some of their best defense of the season, but the Bluejays showed why they're the sixth-ranked team in the country. Despite Seton Hall's best defensive efforts, Creighton had a .311 attack percentage for the match. Ackerman had a team-best 13 digs, while Woo added 11 digs, seven of which came in the first set alone.

SCOUTING CONNECTICUT
Creighton is having a historically good season and enters Friday's contest ranked No. 5 in the country. The Bluejays are currently 23-2 overall, a perfect 14-0 in BIG EAST play and have won 16 consecutive matches. During their current 16-match win streak, Creighton has lost only two sets.

The Bluejays are coming off a four set-victory at Marquette on Sunday and a sweep of Butler on Friday. They are a perfect 13-0 at D.J. Sokol Arena this season.

As a team, Creighton leads the BIG EAST in hitting percentage, kills, assists, blocks and aces per set.Â

LAST TIME AGAINST MARQUETTE
The Pirates rallied from down a set twice, but ultimately fell to Marquette in five sets, 3-2 (16-25, 25-17, 13-25, 25-20, 9-15), in Walsh Gym on Oct. 25.

The Hall had disappointing performances in both the first and third sets, scoring just 16 and 13 points respectively, but bounced back both times for convincing set victories to force a decisive fifth set. In the final stanza, the Pirates led 3-1, but Marquette answered with four straight points and never trailed again.

Sophomore Senna Roberts-Navarro (Honolulu, Hawaii) collected her second straight double-double with a team-high 13 kills to go with 14 digs. Senior Maddie Klungel (Napa, Calif.) collected 33 assists, nine digs, three blocks and three kills. Woo had a tremendous match on the back line, recording a career-high 23 digs.

SCOUTING MARQUETTE
Marquette enters the weekend with an 18-7 overall record and a sparkling 12-2 mark in BIG EAST play, with both losses coming against Creighton. The Golden Eagles are currently getting votes in the AVCA Top-25 poll. Most recently, Marquette had its 12-match win streak snapped by Creighton on Sunday in four sets. On Wednesday, they swept Butler in Indianapolis.

Aubrey Hamilton leads the Golden Eagles with 3.69 kills per set, which ranks third-best in the BIG EAST.

Next week, The Hall wrap up the 2024 regular season. On Wednesday, Nov. 20, the Pirates will travel to Washington, D.C. to face Georgetown. The Hall will return to Walsh Gymnasium for Senior Day on Saturday, Nov. 23 when they host Butler. Both matches will begin at 5:00 p.m.

- On Oct. 5 at UConn, Perri Lucas became only the 12th player in Seton Hall history to reach the milestone of 1,000 kills for her career. At Butler on Oct. 18, she broke into Seton Hall's career top-10.
- Against Butler on Oct. 18, Maddie Klungel collected her 2,000th career assist.
- Asli Subasili is currently second in the BIG EAST among conference matches with 1.24 blocks per set.
- Maddie Klungel has collected a team-high nine double-doubles this season.
