
Second-Place METS Finish Highlights The Hall's Day at Branch Brook

Newark, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's cross country team competed in a pair of meets at Branch Brook Park on Saturday, taking second in the Metropolitan Championships and seventh in the Highlander Invitational.
The morning race saw Stephen Beaman (Johnston, Iowa) pick up a top-10 finish, taking ninth overall with a time of 25:47.20. A few spots behind Beaman was Logan Brunozzi (Churchville, Pa.), taking 14th overall in 26:00.40. Freshman Jeffrey Grynaviski (Farmington Hills, Mich.) also clocked a top-20 time on the morning, completing the 8k course in a time of 26:05.60.
Joseph Butler and Kendal Lanier (Kennett Square, Pa.) rounded out the Pirate finishers, securing top-30 times in the field of 82 runners. Butler took 25th place with a time of 26:19.90, while Lanier took 30th overall in 26:26.80.
In the Highlander Invitational, Zachary Doneth (Easley, S.C.) paced the Pirates on the 8k course with a time of 27:09.10. Anthony Cary and Michael Kelton (Malaga, N.J.) followed as the next two Pirate finishers with times of 27:20.80 and 27:24.00, respectively. Michael Polak (Jamison, Pa.), Peter Smutelovic and Aidan Smith (New Milford, Conn.) also completed the race on the afternoon for Seton Hall.
Next up, the Pirates head to Van Cortlandt Park to participate in the IC4A Championships on Friday.
