
Pirates Hit the Road, Take on Fordham Tuesday Night

South Orange, N.J. – The Pirates will hit the road to take on the Fordham Rams on Tuesday night. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Jack Coffey Field in Bronx, N.Y.
LAST TIME OUT
The Pirates fell to Marquette, 3-1 on Friday night at Owen T. Carroll Field. The Golden Eagles scored twice in the first half and didn't look back to hand the Pirates their second setback of the season. Ian Albuquerque (São Paulo, Brazil) scored for the Pirates, the first tally of his career, as The Hall fell to 4-2-2 on the season.
With time winding down in the game, the Pirates were able to get on the scoreboard with 10 seconds remaining. Mans Saebbo (Gothenburg, Sweden) laid a ball off for Andrea Borg (Sliema, Malta) on the near sideline where Borg crossed a ball into the Marquette box. There Albuquerque was able to get his head on the cross and beat the Golden Eagle keeper to cut the lead to, 3-1.

- The Rams are coming off a 2-1 defeat at home against A10 foe, George Washington on Saturday.
- Fordham is led offensively by Max Rogers and Matt Sloan with five points apiece.
- In net, the Rams Knights have split time between keepers Callum James and Nick Buchholz.
- The Pirates lead the all-time series 17-12-2 with the Pirates winning the previous seven matchups between the two programs. Seton Hall came out on top, 3-1, in the most recent meeting with Fordham in 2019. Andreas Nota picked up the victory at home for the Pirates.
- 13 different Pirates have now found the back of the net this season with 27 assists on 20 total goals. The Hall had tallies from 12 different players last season.
- As of Sept. 27, The Hall currently ranks eight in the nation and is second in the BIG EAST in total goals (20). The Pirates also sit at the top of the conference and second in the nation in total assists (27).
- Eighth in the nation with five assists and three goals to his name, Johannes Pex has a team leading 11 points through eight games. Pex tallied twice and picked up an assist across wins against Delaware and NC State earning BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week honor (9/6). The junior was also named to College Soccer News' National Team of the Week. Pex was also selected to the conference's weekly honor roll following his three assists against NJIT (9/10).
