University Park, Pa. - The Seton Hall men's basketball team looks to turn its road fortunes around Sunday night when it faces Penn State at Bryce Jordan Center, a mere 223 miles from the Seton Hall University campus. Despite the relative proximity (six of Seton Hall's BIG EAST foes are further away), the Pirates and Nittany Lions have only faced off six times in program history and only twice since Penn State joined the Big Ten.
Although the road has been somewhat unkind to the Pirates to start the season, they are still coming off an outstanding 8-4 road record last season. Plus, since the start of the 2015-16 season, Seton Hall is 11-9 in road/neutral games against power five conference teams.Â
The game will be televised on Big Ten Network with Dave Revsine and Stephen Bardo serving as the announcers. The titans of the radio call, Gary Cohen and Dave Popkin, will be on AM970 The Answer, simulcast on XM 389, the Pirate Sports Network and TuneIn.
