
Pirates Place Third at NJIT

Newark, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's cross country team competed in the NJIT Highlander XC Challenge on Saturday. The team finished third out of 31 teams good enough for the team's fourth top three finish in five meets so far this season.
Pacing the men for the Pirates was sophomore Brandin Affrunti (Staten Island, N.Y.) with a time of 26:29.54, good enough for 18th overall.
Three of the top five finishers for the Pirates were all freshman with Gediyon Prince (Nashua, N.H.), Declan Harkness (Stewartsville, N.J.) and Nicholas Minikel (Milltown, N.J.) all taking top five spots.
Sophomore Cole Kretlow (Oakland, Calif.) took third for the Pirates, his fourth top five team finish in five meets this season.
The Pirates will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 11 when they take part in the Metropolitan Championship hosted by Fordham University in the Bronx, N.Y.
