
Pirates Finish One-Two-Three at Delaware

NEWARK, Del. – Seniors Christiana Rutkowski (Middletown, N.J.) and Emily Johnson (Wildwood Crest, N.J.), and freshman Olivia Hernandez (East Brunswick, N.J.) finished one-two-three Saturday morning, as the Seton Hall women's cross country team won the 6K Blue & Gold Invitational hosted by Delaware.
Rutkowski finished with a time of 22:47.50 to secure her fourth individual win of the season. Johnson and Olivia Hernandez each recorded their best places of the season with respective times of 23:25.78 and 23:48.26.
Junior Kiley Britten (Crystal Lake, Ill.) crossed the finish line in 12th (25:00.30). She was followed by freshmen Samantha Dyer (Berwick, Pa.) and Amanda Ferrara (Matawan, N.J.), while sophomore Isabella Whelan (Gainesville, Fla.) rounded out the Top-8 for The Hall.
Up next, the Pirates will compete in the Metropolitan Championship on Friday, Oct. 13 at Van Cortlandt Park, N.Y.
