SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. - The Seton Hall women's swimming & diving team raced its way to its second victory of the new year on Friday, overpowering in-state rival Rider en route to a 188-107 win.
Multiple first place finishes from Courtney McCardle (Hurley, N.Y.), Erica Naumann (Middletown, Conn.) and Kylene Ronayne (Springfield, Pa.) in the pool and another sweep on the diving board from Gabby Signorelli (Massapequa, N.Y.) highlighted an evening that featured 13 event victories for The Hall on the women's side as the Pirates cruised to their sixth win of the season.
Overall seven different team members logged individual victories and Seton Hall came out on top in both relay events as well.

- Naumann got the individual program started with a narrow victory in the 1,000-free, edging teammate Courtney Regan (Southbury, Conn.) with a late charge. Naumann clocked in at 10:48.17 to claim the top spot while Regan reached the wall in 10:50.16. The Middletown native later added a victory in the 500-free, completing the distance sweep in another 1-2 finish with Regan with a time of 5:19.62.
- Ronayne recorded her first win of the evening in the 200-free, touching in at 1:58.70 - nearly four seconds ahead of Rider's top finisher. Freshman Emily Barnard (Galloway, N.J.) added second place points with a 2:01.90 effort. The sophomore later led a Seton Hall sweep of the top-three positions in the 200-back with a 2:09.82 mark. Melody Bush (Guelph, Ontario) took second in 2:11.44, just ahead of Alexa Santis (Ijamsville, Md.) in third (2:12.10)
- McCardle was the top sprint performer of the evening, needing just 25.13 seconds to take first in the 50-free, ahead of Megan Mallon (Glen Mills, Pa.) amd Kat Carson (Katy, Texas) in third and fourth respectively. McCardle also posted a winning time of 55.29 in the 100-free in a race that also featured a third-place showing from Maddie Harris (Ocala, Fla.)
- Mallon recorded a win of her own in the 100-breast, touching in at 1:07.16. Mallon was one of three other Pirates to take home a victory in the pool along with juniors Tessa Lindner (Sun Prairie, Wis.) and Cece Henry (St. Charles, Mo.).
- Lindner paced an all-Pirate top-three in the 100-fly with a time of 58.22. Sophomore Sydney Simpson (Tallahassee, Fla.) finished second in 1:00.22 followed by Henry in third. In the 200-fly, Henry was able to close down Lindner on the final leg, winning by .22 seconds with a time of 2:12.00

- The quartet of Mallon, Lindner, McCardle and Aitana Robinson (London, Ontario) led wire-to-wire in a meet-opening victory in the 200-medley relay, combining for a 1:48.72 mark
- In the final race of the evening, Ronayne, Lindner, Barnard and Cora Meehan (Noblesville, Ind.) provided the exclamation point with a winning time of 3:43.63

- Signorelli recorded the top score of the meet from both the one and three meter boards, diving her way to another pair of victories. From three meters, her score of 278.92 was over 36 points clear of Rider's Breanne Hatter in second while from the one meter board, the four-time BIG EAST champion was even more dominant, as her score of 260.70 was over 45 points in front of Hatter (214.57)

The Hall will travel to Marist next Saturday for the first of two meets in as many days. Start time between the Pirates and Red Foxes is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. and the following day, SHU will return to South Orange and host UConn in its final home appearance of the season (11:00 a.m.)
