PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Seton Hall men's swimming & diving team continued its early season charge in dominant fashion on Saturday, racing past conference rival Providence, 183-92, after claiming first-place points in all but two events.
The Pirates have now dropped a total of just three events in dual meet wins over Monmouth and the Friars and improved to 4-2 on the year with the victory at PC.
Freshmen Lior Grubert (Yehud-Monosson, Israel), David Rowe (Cherry Hill, N.J.) and Dakota Williams (Noank, Conn.) led a group of eight team members who recorded first-place times with a pair of victories apiece and The Hall also scored big in relay action to secure the comfortable result.
The Seton Hall men also swept the top-three spots in five individual events, creating further separation between the two sides.
The Pirates have now split with a pair of BIG EAST opponents to this point in the year after being narrowly edged by reigning conference champions Xavier over two days in Morgantown, W. Va. and SHU is slated to match up against two more in Georgetown and Villanova at Rutgers next weekend.
