Snouffer shot all three rounds at par or better to finish in second place among 105 individual golfers with a 4-under-par, 69-72-71-212. The Seton Hall newcomer finished just two strokes behind Hartford's Evan Russell who won the individual title at 6-under-par.
Collectively, Seton Hall notched its second top-5 finish among three tournaments so far this fall. The Pirates placed fifth in the 19-team tournament with a 31-over-par, 297-304-294-895. The Hall finished 21 strokes behind the host and team champion, Hartford. Central Florida, Connecticut and Temple finished second through fourth respectively.
Snouffer's performance can't be overstated. Competing in only his third tournament as a Pirate, his 4-under-par score ties him for the seventh-lowest tournament score against par in Seton Hall history. Snouffer's two top-10s and 73.13 stroke average currently lead the team.
JT Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) also had a strong finish to the tournament. The senior registered his first top-10 finish as a Pirate with a consistent 4-over-par, 73-74-73-220. Harper finished seventh overall.
Sophomore Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) had an up-and-down tournament and finished in a tie for 51st place with a 16-over-par, 79-75-78-232
After an uncharacteristic 83 in round two, Kevin O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.) bounced back with a respectable 74 on Tuesday. The sophomore tied for 56th place with an 18-over-par, 77-83-74-234.
Junior David Cha (Carrollton, Texas) fired a 78 in round one and a 4-over-par, 76, in round three, but was disqualified for not signing his scorecard in round two.
Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) also made the trip to Connecticut and competed as an individual. The junior shot a 22-over-par, 79-79-80-238.
The two-day, three-round event took place at the par-72 Bull's Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Conn. Including Seton Hall and host Hartford, 19 teams vied for the title including Bethune Cookman, Boston College, Brown, Bryant, Central Florida, Connecticut, Fairfield, Hofstra, Holy Cross, LIU-Brooklyn, UMass-Lowell, Rhode Island, Rider, Sacred Heart, Saint Joseph's and Temple.
Seton Hall will return to the links this Sunday for the first two rounds of the Patriot Intercollegiate in Lorton, Virginia.
