Four points later, a Dartmouth attack error gave the set to The Hall, 25-13.
Dartmouth again took an early lead, 5-2, but the Pirates battled back to take a 6-5 advantage. A kill by Rubin broke a 12-12 tie and gave the Pirates the lead for good. A kill by Shelbey Manthorpe gave Seton Hall its largest lead of the set and put it in set point, 24-18. A bad set gave the Pirates the last point they needed as they won set two, 25-19.
Trailing 8-7 in set three, Seton Hall scored three straight to take a 10-8 advantage, a lead it would not relinquish. Two straight kills by Grammer extended the Pirates' lead to 19-12. A kill by Danielle Schroeder (Chicago, Ill.) gave Seton Hall its largest lead of the set, 25-16, and ended the match. The Pirates were clicking on all cylinders in set three as they committed just one attack error and hit at a .361 clip.
