
Men's Golf Finishes Ninth at Hartford Invite

SOUTH KENT, CONN. - The Seton Hall men's golf team shot a 17-over-par, 305, in round three to finish ninth at the 2013 Hartford Hawks Invitational at Bull's Bridge Golf Club.
For the 54-hole tournament, the Pirates finished at 51-over-par with a consistent 304-306-305-915. They finished 47 strokes behind the team champion, Rutgers.
Freshman Lloyd Jefferson Go (Guadalupe Cebu City, Philippines) was just as consistent as the team, finishing tied for 14th among 96 golfers at 7-over-par with a 75-74-74-223. He finished 16 strokes behind Hartford's Evan Russell, who won the individual crown at a staggering 9-under-par.
J.T. Harper (Pebble Beach, Calif.) saved his best round for last, shooting a 2-over-par, 74, on Tuesday. For the three-round event, he finished tied for 21st with a 10-over-par, 75-77-74-226.
Sophomore Kevin Sanislo (Whippany, N.J.) tied for 45th place overall with a 17-over-par, 79-77-77-233. Classmate Cory Wilson (Newton, N.J.) finished one stroke behind Sanislo with an 18-over-par, 75-79-80-234.
Kamaal Khatumal (Sierra Leone, West Africa) rounded out the Pirates' team scoring with a 28-over-par, 82-78-84-244.
Freshman Kevin O'Brien (Wexford, Pa.), competing this week as an individual, finished with a 38-over-par, 90-82-82-254.
Seton Hall will have a quick turnaround for its next tournament of the fall season. The Pirates will return to the links on Saturday, Sept. 28 for the first and second of three rounds of golf at the John Dallio Memorial Tournament in Lemont, Ill.
