PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Seton Hall men's soccer sophomore Anthony Reichwaldt (Lincoln, Neb.) was named BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week. Reichwaldt helped the Pirates go 2-0 and posted a 0.50 goals against average last week.
Reichwaldt made seven saves in heavy rain at West Point on Monday evening to earn his first career clean sheet and victory in a 1-0 decision over Army. He followed that up with another seven stops in a 2-1 overtime win at Boston University on Friday. Reichwaldt was especially key in the first half, making several diving stops to limit the Terriers to just the single goal and keep SHU in the game.
He is the first Pirate to earn the honor since Paul McHenry in September of 2009.
Providence's Will Arboleda was tabbed the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week and Andrew Jean-Baptiste from Connecticut was tabbed as BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week. Cincinnati's Cole DeNorandie was named the BIG EAST Rookie of the Week.
