William J. Eyres

William Eyres spent seven years on the South Orange campus, first at Seton Hall Prep and then as a student at Seton Hall until his graduation in 1958. A major booster of Seton Hall’s athletic program, he founded the Winner’s Circle to help the basketball program, and this organization made a tremendous impact on the program. He also made the gift that helped Seton Hall enter the BIG EAST Conference, leading the department into the national spotlight. Eyres was co-founder of the Monmouth-Ocean County Seton Hall Alumni chapter, for which he served as a past president. He also was a recipient of the 1992 Seton Hall Most Distinguished Alumni Award.
