Rev. Msgr. William Noe Field

Monsignor William Field became the first season ticket holder for Pirates basketball after Walsh Auditorium was built in 1940, and never missed a home game from 1939–66. Ordained in 1940, he has been a pastor twice, an instructor at Seton Hall Prep, a professor and chairman of the Seton Hall English department, University librarian, and director of development. He also served as curator of archives, rare books and manuscripts, and as a friend and advisor to Seton Hall Athletics.
