John P. Caufield

Induction:
1982

A New Jersey state senator and Fire Director of Newark for 24 years, John Caufield will always be remembered at Seton Hall as the man who began the basketball season ticket program, in addition to serving as a charter member of the “Winners Circle.” A staunch supporter of Newark, he also conducted baseball and basketball clinics for Newark residents in conjunction with Seton Hall Athletics. In addition to his support of the athletics program, he also served as President of the Brian Boru Society, which has honored many members of the Seton Hall community.
