George Ramos Curvy

George Ramos Curvy starred on the diamond for Seton Hall during a historic career in the 1970s. Seton Hall's first African-American All-American, he helped the Pirates to back-to-back College World Series appearances in 1974 and 1975 and saw the team post a 135-51-2 mark over his four seasons. He was named second-team All-America and New Jersey Baseball Writer's Association Player of the Year in 1977. His .372 lifetime batting average ranks fourth in school history, and he stole 47 bases during the 1977 season, the program’s third-highest single-season total. Ramos selected by the Atlanta Braves in 1977 MLB Amateur Draft and played for three seasons in the organization's minor league system.
