SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The Seton Hall men's soccer team has announced its full schedule for the 2026 season on Wednesday. After making it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season, a retooled Pirates roster will face a challenging slate of 17 fixtures split between nine non-conference opponents and eight BIG EAST foes.
Among The Hall's 17 opponents, five of them made the NCAA Tournament last year: Duke, Georgetown, Princeton, St. John's and UConn. Additionally, the Pirates will face the Campbell Camels and the Liberty Flames for the first time in program history.
The Pirates will open the 2026 regular season on the road when they travel to Durham, North Carolina, to face the Duke Blue Devils on August 20. For The Hall, this will be the third time in program history the team has taken on the ACC powerhouse, with only two other occasions in 1939 and 1988. The Blue Devils are coming off another strong season, which featured an NCAA Tournament quarterfinals appearance.
After also playing the Campbell Camels in Durham, the Pirates will return to South Orange to open their home schedule against the Iona Gaels on August 27. This matchup will mark the first time the two metro-area sides have met since The Hall's 3-1 win in the 1987 season.
On the road, The Hall will travel to Rutgers (Sep. 4), Penn (Sep. 12) and Princeton (Sep. 22) in non-conference play. The remainder of the non-conference home matches include Lehigh (Sep. 8), Sacred Heart (Oct. 6) and Liberty (Oct. 20) to close out the slate.
After six non-conference games to open the season, The Hall will travel up to Storrs, Connecticut, to open BIG EAST play against the UConn Huskies on September 18. Before their season ended in the NCAA Tournament Round of 16, the Huskies faced the Pirates on Decision Day last season. UConn defeated the Pirates 2-1 on the back of two late goals, denying The Hall a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament.
When The Hall hits the road in BIG EAST play, they will also play Butler on October 2, NCAA Tournament quarterfinalists Georgetown on October 16, and Providence on October 31. At home, the Pirates will face off against DePaul on September 26, Xavier on October 10, NCAA Tournament qualifiers St. John's on October 24 and Villanova on November 6.
The BIG EAST Tournament will feature four teams, continuing the change from last year. The top team from each division will receive the top two seeds in the tournament, with the remaining six seeds determined by conference point total regardless of division. The BIG EAST semifinals and final will be held at Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Maryland, on Nov. 12 and 15, respectively.
