KANSAS CITY, MO. – United Soccer Coaches announced Wednesday that senior defender Agustin Resch (Arata, Argentina) was one of five players named Men's Scholar All-East Region. United Soccer Coaches' Scholar All-Region teams honor players who have excelled both on and off the pitch this season.
On the pitch, Resch produced one of the most decorated seasons by a player in program history in 2025. The Argentine center back reached new heights while starting every game for the Pirates this season. In the attack, he recorded a career-high three goals and three assists against elite competition, including a goal in the NCAA Tournament. Defensively, with his towering six-foot-six-inch frame and athleticism, Resch sat at the center of a Pirates' defense that neutralized opposing attackers and set pieces in their tracks on the way to a top 30 GAA (0.832) in the nation.
As a result of his standout performances, Resch has filled his trophy case with both conference and national honors. Resch has received eight other honors this season: Preseason BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, Preseason All-BIG EAST, First Team All-BIG EAST, BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year, United Soccer Coaches First Team All-East Region, First Team All-American, CSC Academic All-American and MAC Hermann Trophy Semifinalist. He was also the first player in program history to be invited to the MLS College Showcase ahead of the draft on this Friday, December 19.
