Near-Record Breaking Relay, Graham's Second Win Highlight Bucknell Invitational Night Two

LEWISBURG, PA. – The Seton Hall men's swimming and diving team finished up its second day of competition at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday night. The night saw the a few near-broken records and a few more wins in the Pirates continued search for a team podium finish.
Diving
In what is becoming a common phrase in the Pirate lexicon, freshman diver Nick Graham earned another overall victory, this time on the 1-meter board with a score of 328.80 points. With the win, Graham secured overall victory in both diving events at the Bucknell Invitational. Alongside Graham, Trevor Post made the final and posted a score of 267.60, just off the podium in fourth place.
Swimming
While no Pirates were in the A-final to open the night in the 400 IM, impactful points were earned in the B-final. In his first collegiate season, freshman Jake Karulf produced time of 4:02.69, his collegiate best and three seconds of his all-time best.
All eyes soon moved to the 100 Butterfly, where BIG EAST Champion Michael Klimaszewski looked to try and break his school-record time. While unsuccessful, Klimaszewski finished second overall in the event with a season best time of 47.08.
As the 200 Freestyle arrived, the Pirates would have two chances at claiming overall victory in the event with Kevin Cary and Toma Adam. Cary would go on to finish in third with a time of 1:36.98, just under a tenth faster than his prior career-best. Adam would go on to touch the wall at a season-best time of 1:39.29.
In the 100 Breaststroke, senior Ben Endersby secured much needed point for the Pirates when he touched the wall with a season-best time of 56.19.
In the final individual event of the night, the 100 backstroke, six Pirates made it back across all three heats in search of personal bests and overall wins. Freshman phenom finished third in the A-final with a season-best time of 49.37. Freshman twins Kale & Kaedin Duong would also put up season best times of 50.65 and 50.31, respectfully. Alongside the Duongs, Nick Rhodes would finish third in the B-final with a time of 49.81.
The Pirates would close out the night with a relay rarely swum outside of invitational or championship settings, the 800 Freestyle relay. In a near-record breaking swim, The Pirates led wire-to-wire, earning a nearly five-second victory. The Team of Michael Klimaszewski, Balint Marosi, Jaden Bunt and Kevin Cary would touch the wall with a time of 6:32.94.

The Pirates return to action on Sunday morning for the final day of the Bucknell Invitational. Prelims get underway at 10 a.m., with finals set to begin an hour earlier than prior days at 5 p.m.
