Turning Point
After a back-and-forth game, the Pirates finally took control in the waning minutes. Trailing by one point with just over four minutes to go, Whitehead buried a pair of three-pointers at 4:25 and 3:37 to give the Pirates a 75-72 advantage.
The Hall then took advantage of its size advantage to draw fouls and get t the free throw line. After a Bearcats turnover with 2:28 to play, Carrington drove to the basket and drew a foul, making a pair of free throws to give the Pirates a 79-74 edge.
With under a minute to go after Baruch missed the front end of a 1-and-1 that could have led to another tie game, the Pirates put the game away with a big offensive rebound and put-back by sophomore Angel Delgado (Bajos De Haina, Dominican Republic) to put the Pirates up four.
