Seton Hall women's soccer head coach Rick Stainton announced Ali Rubnitz as the newest addition to the team's coaching staff on April 18, 2017. Rubnitz joins The Hall as assistant coach after a two-year stint as an assistant at Monmouth.

"I am very excited that Ali has accepted the opportunity to join our staff," said Stainton. "Her background includes great success as a player and a coach at the Division I level. We look forward to Ali sharing her experience, leadership and enthusiasm with our program."

At Monmouth, Rubnitz helped lead the Hawks to back-to-back Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Regular Season Championships in 2015 & 2016 after posting a combined 18-1-1 record in conference play. Monmouth posted an overall record of 27-7-4 during her two seasons in West Long Branch, and reached the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in program history after winning the MAAC Championship this past fall.

The Los Gatos, California native was a four-year starter at Northwestern, where she graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies and Psychology with a minor in Business Administration. She was the 2009 Big Ten Sportsmanship Award winner, Team Defensive MVP and a four-time member of the Big Ten All-Academic Team. She was also the recipient of the James J. Progar Athletic Scholarship (for inspiration, leadership and allegiance to NU) and the Iron Cat Award, given to superior fitness and training amongst NU athletes.

Following her accomplished career with the Wildcats, Rubnitz was a starting player and assistant coach for Durham University in the United Kingdom. Her team was the 2015 British Universities & Colleges Sport National Champions, and was the runner-up in the Futsal National Championship. Meanwhile, Rubnitz was earning her Master's Degree in Business Management with a focus in Entrepreneurship.

Other ventures for Rubnitz include brief stints as Girls Technical Director of Downtown United Soccer Club (DUSC) in New York City and as volunteer assistant coach at St. Bonaventure.

Rubnitz holds the following licenses – USSF National C (2017), USSF National D License (March 2014) and USSF National E License (June 2013).
